Hunger Games Quotes

“You don’t forget the face of the person who was your last hope"
“I am not pretty. I am not beautiful. I am as radiant as the sun.”
“They're already taking my future! They can't have the things that mattered to me in the past!”
“You have a... remarkable memory."
"I remember everything about you. You're the one who wasn't paying attention.”
“Only I keep wishing I could think of a way...to show the Capitol they don't own me. That I'm more than just a piece in their Games.”
“Katniss, the girl who was on fire!”
"And while I was talking, the idea of actually losing Peeta hit me again and I realized how much I don't want him to die. And it's not about the sponsors. And it's not about what will happen when we get home. And it's not just that I don't want to be alone. It's him. I do not want to lose the boy with the bread.”
And my personal favorite... (does it count? It's from Mockingjay)
"You love me? Real or not real?"
"Real"

Cleopatra

Cleopatra Is More Than A Princess
Who was born royalty, lived over 2000 years ago, and is often mistaken for a ditzy, exotic princess?  Cleopatra, of course.  What is one of the greatest awards a person could ever earn?  The Person Of the Millenium Award, of course.  I think Cleopatra should be Person Of the Millenium, because she was a great queen.  So, what’s so great about Cleopatra?
Well, she was the ruler of Egypt.  Cleopatra was loved and trusted by her people.  She protected Egypt from becoming part of Rome for many years.   Secondly, she was an ally to the good Romans.  During Roman civil wars, she helped Julius Caesar and Mark Antony by giving them ships, soldiers and supplies.  On the flip side, Cleopatra was too protective of her throne.  She even killed some of her siblings so that she and her son could rule!  That’s pretty bad, but it was common back then and her siblings were threatening to kill her!  Lastly, Cleopatra died for Egypt.  The Romans captured her, and if she let that happen, a lot of bad things would happen.  She committed suicide to protect Egypt and she felt she had nothing left to live for.
In conclusion, Cleopatra was a pretty cool person.  Again, I think she should become person of the millenium because she was a good ruler, helped the good Romans, and died for Egypt.  You can learn more about Cleopatra at your local library.  -Monica Todd
